Black Country business Eurocraft Enclosures are at the forefront of the super-fast broadband revolution in the region.

Culture Secretary and Bromsgrove MP announced a £12m project last week which aims to extend the availability of high-speed fibre broadband to 98% of homes and businesses in the Black Country in less than three years.

Eurocraft Enclosures Ltd, located at Cinderbank in Dudley, have a long history of providing critically enabling enclosure solutions that underpin the telecommunications sector.

Managing Director Kevin O'Toole said "Eurocraft is one of the largest and most successful designers and manufacturers of custom enclosure solutions in the UK, integrating traditional metalworking with latest materials and techniques. Our industry leading products house electronic components and cabling essential for telecomm applications, along with a growing range of diverse technology applications and needs.

"We are proud of being involved in this project. We have to make sure that the cabinets that house the telecommunications equipment are vandal proof, accommodates the different needs of power companies and communications companies and any demarcation needs within each company"

The £12m project is made up of £2.9 million from the Government’s Broadband Delivery programme, £6.4m from BT and £2.9m from the Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership’s Growing Places Fund and involves the replacement of 400 roadside cabinets.

Eurocraft Enclosures Ltd is a member of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce and Kevin O'Toole, Managing Director, is the chair of Manufacturing Links. Kevin is a proud supporter of the actions the Chamber is implementing on behalf of the small manufacturing industry in the Black Country.
