The latest from the Black Country

Black Country Chamber of Commerce Member Alpha Drive Engineering Services Ltd Appear on ITV

Alpha Drive Engineering Services Ltd, Managing Director, Anthony Chisholm appeared on ITV Central News on Wednesday evening highlighting the difficulties smaller businesses experience in securing the funding they need to help them grow.

Black Country Chamber of Commerce President Ninder Johal, who also appeared on ITV said, “Anthony’s experience is similar to many manufacturing SMEs in the Black Country. It seems that government policy is fixated upon larger companies who have access to the kinds of resources smaller businesses struggle with.

“In 2015 we will launch our Access to Finance service which will help organisations like Alpha Drive Engineering Services make sense of all the financial products and services currently available. In addition we will continue to lobby on behalf of all of our local businesses to ensure their voice is heard when it comes to employing more experienced local workers.

“Although we fully support the measures the government is introducing to help reduce youth unemployment, businesses in the Industrial Heart of the UK have more rounded needs that apprenticeship programmes may not be able to satisfy. We will continue to find ways to empower local businesses so their voice is heard.”
