Black Country Chamber Consultative Forum Announced

 MG 1079-EditFollowing the governance changes announced at the AGM on 21 October 2014 the Black Country Chamber of Commerce Consultative Forum met for the first time on 24 March 2015.

The elections held in February yielded 20 members to the forum: Ali Alibhai - Autobase Citroen; Andrew Thompson - One Stop Management Services; Christine Thomas - Christine Thomas Ltd; Colin Leighfield - B E Wedge Holdings Ltd; David John Williams - Accura Group; David Jones - Steps to Work; Devya Athwal - Athwal Resourcing; Jev Bhalla -Walsall Adult & Community College; John Tew - Sandwell College; Johnathan Dudley - Crowe Clarke Whitehill LLP; Martin Dudley - Thomas Dudley Ltd; Mike Dell - B C Barton Ltd; Paul Cadman - Futura Design Ltd; Paul Kalinauckas - Black Country Reinvestment Society; Paul Lewis - Forces Recruitment; Roy Casey - Success Train Ltd; Tim Lang - George Green LLP; Tony Seaton - Blue Sky Corporate Finance; Wayne Barratt - W. Barratt Contractors.

 The role of the Consultative Forum is to:
1) Encourage and facilitate effective dialogue and collaboration between Chamber and local partners and members.
2) To propose and develop projects intended to provide long term solutions to problems affecting the economic, social and environmental welfare of the Black Country and to remove barriers to economic growth.
3) Encourage members to participate in the Chamber’s policy groups and make an effective contribution to the achievement of the Chamber’s objectives.
4) To provide advice and guidance to the Board on strategy.

Ninder Johal, President of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce, commented: “I am very excited to be working with the new consultative forum. I think the group will enable us to make a step change in the relationship with stakeholders and drive through the successful implementation of our business plan.”
