The Platinum Group Discuss The Strategic Role of Creativity

IMG 0320Dr David Hall, the Founder and CEO of The Ideas Centre Group and a Visiting Professor of Business Creativity at the University of Bedfordshire, spoke to The Platinum Group at their quarterly Peer Group Meeting, which was hosted by Ansaldo NES in Wolverhampton.

Dr Hall discussed “Think Again; The Strategic Role of Creativity” and demonstrated how creativity can remove the blockages that operate within everyone’s minds, to unleash the power of “breakthrough thinking”, to generate ideas that are both novel and useful.  A culture of creativity can substantially differentiate a business, attracting and retaining the best staff whilst enhancing added value.

The Ideas Centre provides organisations of all types (private sector, public sector, charities, small and large) with the ability to challenge the traditional thinking that traps them within the world of “more of the same”.  Whether running in-house sessions or training individuals to facilitate hands-on through local workshops, techniques are introduced that develop Breakthrough Thinking, allowing organisations to actively seize control and proactively manage their innovation strategy.

The Platinum Group members meet quarterly in a confidential peer to peer learning environment, where fellow members act as a trusted board of advisors. They test plans, assumptions and decisions and hold each other accountable for turning good intentions into great results.

The Platinum Group is designed for senior business leaders within the high value manufacturing, automotive and logistics sector, with the emphasis in developing leadership skills, sharing best practice and working with like-minded people.

The aim of the Chamber is to double the size of the Black Country economy by 2023. The Black Country is the Industrial Heart of the UK and for us to grow the local economy we need to ensure that the development of local Chief Executives continues. Peer to peer learning will assist this economic progress across the region.
