More Than Just a Business Networking Event - An Unconventional Experience for Black Country Chamber of Commerce Members

Neil Shaw and Clive Jackson with Stephen Kimble centre getting ready for the experience dayBlack Country Chamber of Commerce are very keen to explore unusual ways to facilitate their members making new connections. With this in mind, the events department have teamed up with Patshull Park Hotel, Golf and Country Club who are opening their grounds for Chamber members to literally “Have a Go” at some activities that they might not have tried before. Delegates will be eased into networking by dividing people into small groups where they will all have the chance to try fly-fishing and golf with expert tuition at an event being held on 11th June (13:00 - 16:00). This is a perfect chance for members to take a skill away, make new friends and find those all-important business changing connections.

The event is sponsored by Brindley Garages Group, one of the largest and oldest family owned dealer groups in the West Midlands, formed in 1931. Hosting 8 manufacturers over 14 sites, Brindley can help small businesses who require one vehicle right up to those looking for fleets of 500 cars. The event will feature two vehicles from Honda and a Honda motorbike. Clive Jackson, fleet manager, says “We are very keen to work with the Chamber and introduce an element of fun to networking events. This is a different style of event and something that we are looking forward to.”

Stephen Kimbell, General Manager of Patshull Park Hotel Golf and Fitness Club, was keen to host the event. “We look forward to welcoming Black Country Chamber of Commerce delegates back to Patshull Park for another summer event. I am sure that the delegates will enjoy the peaceful surrounds of the Park and will take advantage of some expert coaching while trying out golf and fly-fishing”.

The Black Country Chamber’s Unconventional Networking Experience has been designed to ease delegates into networking, allowing those attending to take a step back from selling but still have the chance of making business connections.

As a membership organisation, the Black Country Chamber of Commerce aims to double the size of the Black Country economy by 2023. The Black Country is the Industrial Heart of the UK, and to ensure the growth of the local economy, the formulation and strengthening of connections between businesses within the region is imperative.
