Birmingham Airport Host the Chamber Patron “Connect” Meeting

IMG 0565Birmingham Airport a valued Patron of Black Country Chamber of Commerce, hosted a Chamber Patron “Connect” Meeting, giving their fellow Patrons the opportunity to see what really happens “behind the scenes” at one of the UK’s busiest airports.

The Emirates VIP Lounge, the Airport Control Room, No.1 VIP Lounge and the baggage handling area, were some of the interesting areas shown and explained to the Patrons.

Kevin Rogers, CEO of Paycare and a Chamber Patron, said: “A big thank you to Birmingham Airport for hosting a great visit, which demonstrated what a fantastic facility we have at the heart of the country. We have to challenge the rationale behind the proposed Heathrow expansion, when we already have a facility ready to step fill the extra capacity needed.”

The Chamber Patron “Behind the Scenes” meetings enable The Group to discover more regarding the business of their fellow Chamber Patrons, which then gives them the opportunity to work with each other. Our Chamber Patrons play a key role in advancing the prosperity of the area and in helping us to achieve our goal of doubling the size of the Black Country economy by 2023. The Black Country is the Industrial Heart of the UK and the Black Country Chamber of Commerce is helping local businesses gain the right support and connections to succeed.
