Black Country Chamber Thanks Ninder Johal

BCCC Meet the Pres 022The Black Country Chamber of Commerce was delighted to host a Presidents’ Day on Tuesday 1st March to mark the changing of the President on 1st April 2016.

Ninder Johal has been President of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce for the last two years and the event was a celebration of his service and an opportunity for Chamber members and staff to thank Ninder for all his hard work and effort.

Ninder Johal, Black Country Chamber of Commerce President, said: “I have had a great time over the last two years and met a lot of fantastic Chamber members. I am constantly surprised by the wide range of businesses in membership and the worldwide opportunities they are securing on a daily basis. I would like to thank all the Chamber members and staff that have supported me during my time as President and wish you all every success. We are striving towards our goal of doubling the size of the Black Country economy and I am delighted to be handing over the Presidency to Kevin Rogers; he will be a great asset to the Chamber and will drive us towards wider engagement and business wins.”   

Ninder, who was born and raised in Sandwell, is the Managing Director of Nachural Records, Nachural Corporate Communications and HRA loudspeakers. Ninder is a well-known figure in the local business community and for many years has been reaching out to stakeholders and helping them to work together to improve the region.

On 1st April 2016, Kevin Rogers will take over as President and will hold this position for the next two years. This event allowed Chamber members to meet with Kevin and offer their support.

Kevin Rogers, commented: “I would like to thank Ninder for his hard work over the last two years, he is going to be a hard act to follow. Thanks to Ninder we have stronger governance and greater democratic accountability to members. We have been talking about opportunities to drive growth further into the Black Country business base and I have some views on how we can improve productivity to above the national average. I am really looking forward to getting involved with, and meeting even more, of the great businesses we have in Chamber membership.”

Kevin Rogers is Chief Executive of Paycare; a “not for profit” organisation that has been active in providing help with everyday healthcare costs to businesses and individuals since 1874. Today, Paycare supports many charities and thousands of ordinary families now benefit from the protection offered by their healthcare cash plans.  

The Black Country Chamber of Commerce aims to double the size of the Black Country economy by 2023.
