Get Set for the Black Country Road Run

5k Fun Run StartOn your marks and get set for the Black Country Road Run on Sunday 3rd July!

Hundreds of eager runners are expected to take part in the annual Black Country Road Run in Halesowen town centre. This popular community event, which is organised by The Rotary Club of Halesowen & Rowley Regis, is now in its fifth year and has helped to raise in excess of £77,000 for various charities and good causes.

The day begins with a chip timed 10k race at 9 o'clock followed by a 5k family Fun Run starting at 11.30am.

The event is being supported once again by marathon runner and local fundraising hero, Blind Dave Heeley, who will be taking part in both runs, and runners are encouraged to raise sponsorship money for their own chosen charity or in support of Rotary charities.

New for this year is the challenge to beat last year's male and female winners' times in the 10k race to win £50! Full details of the event, including 10k and 5k route maps, entrance fees, sponsorship forms and a photo gallery can be found at

Register today and bring your family and friends along too for a great fun day out!
