Sheldon Clayton Logistics Group Talk “Modern Day Logistics” to The Platinum Group

IMG 0916Black Country Chamber of Commerce is working with members of The Platinum Group to offer an extensive programme of best practice and business support activities. Designed for senior directors, managers and team leaders, these informative meetings are designed to help share best practice and develop valuable skills which will make a difference across a broad spectrum of business operations.

Sheldon Clayton Logistics Group, a member of The Platinum Group, hosted a Platinum Group Director Morning in their new visitor centre, where the theme of the meeting was “Modern Day Logistics”. Platinum Group members had an insight into how the company works, including a modern day analysis of how IT and Technology is playing an important part in the Haulage and Logistics industry. The Platinum Group members were given the opportunity to tour the 12 acre site and see first-hand, how a logistics, warehouse and a complete multimodal logistics solution works on a day to day basis.

Sheldon Clayton Logistics Group based in West Bromwich are an Independent Logistics Provider who have serviced the transport industry since 1976 and this year they are celebrating the 40th anniversary since the business was established. Sheldon Clayton have the foresight for collaboration, and now work with various industry services to offer the complete multimodal logistics solution. They are based at the heart of the British motorway network, with satellite depots strategically located around the UK to deliver competitive professional services to their customers. The family-owned and operated company, with the Sheldon family active in the day-to-day running of a vibrant business, employs nearly 150 people. The company evolved from its beginnings in 1970's starting out as a two-man haulier operation, and the organisation has since grown steadily.
