New Opportunity to Save Time and Money by Using E-Certs

With time and money becoming more of a focus for many Black Country businesses, the Black Country Chamber of Commerce would like to remind companies of the online export documentation service provided.

If your business exports its goods and services overseas, you can now apply for a range of documents via an online portal, which includes Certificates of Origin and customs preference documents such as EUR1 and ATR’s. Furthermore, this online service is managed by our team of export documentation specialists, thereby ensuring you can export with confidence and ease.

In addition, the Chamber would like to inform businesses of the new Union Customs Code that came into force on May 1st 2016; this is a legislative requirement that is relevant for exporters wishing to apply for Approved Economic Operator status or involved in Inward/Outward Processing Relief. If this is having an impact on your company see for detailed information.

Exporters should also make themselves aware of the implications of using customs preference EUR1 and ATR documents, in particular the type of evidence they need to hold in respect to the origin of goods. Customs Notice 827 is the source for this information. Exporters who use preference documents should always have copies of the relevant customs notices, in particular 827, 828 and 830 (Turkey) which are available from if you search for customs notices.

The Black Country is the Industrial Heart of the UK and exports are vital to the region.
