College Shortlisted for National Award

City of Wolverhampton College has been shortlisted for a national award in recognition of its outstanding HR Team.

The college has been named as a finalist for the prestigious national 2016 Personnel Today Awards, which recognise HR teams and individuals from across the UK who have made an impact with their people policies and achieved great results for their organisation.

Shortlisted for the HR Team of the Year Award, the college will find out if they have won at a glittering awards ceremony in London on November 22.

Principal Claire Boliver said: “Being shortlisted in the awards is a fantastic achievement for the HR team, who have all worked incredibly hard over the last few years to help turnaround the college.

“Thanks to their support, the college has seen a huge change in its culture; internal communications have improved, staff feel more valued and enthusiasm and loyalty continues to grow.”

Personnel Today editor Rob Moss said the entries exhibited “a passion and innovation that made it very difficult to choose who would make the final list.” He added: “Well done for everyone who has made the shortlist – once again the standard of entries was exceptionally high, and thank you to our panel of judges who have devoted the time to work out who makes the grade.”
