InPower Secure Funding from West Midlands Police

InPower are a company that for the last two years have been doing a lot of community work, with a focus on developing and empowering youths within the Wolverhampton area.

The company has recently gained funding from West Midlands Police to run a project over the summer holidays which will include activities such as football, athletics and mixed martial arts. The project aim is to engage with the local region and build community cohesion within these areas through sport. For a few of the participants they will also be able to gain sports leadership qualifications, this will give them not only a national recognised qualification but also let them develop, reflect and improve as an individual.

InPower have worked in the past with young people in the local community. They offer them the chance to volunteer at InPower to gain skills and experiences that will help them in building a more in-depth curriculum vitae.
Daryl Chambers, Managing Director of InPower commented: “This is going to be a great programme for young people. Sport has always, and will always, be a great tool for getting people to meet and quite simply get along."

“I grew up in the Wolverhampton area but I found there were more activities available when I was growing up. I am delighted that West Midlands Police and Wolverhampton Council are supporting this project and see the many benefits in the project."
