Dudley-Based Truckman Targets Export Growth in Europe

Truckman ExportsTruckman, the leading West Midlands manufacturer and distributor of 4x4 accessories, is aiming to more than double the export sales to Europe of its UK designed and built pick-up truck hardtops.

Currently accounting for 10 percent of its £12.5m turnover, the West Midlands-based company is targeting export sales to reach in the region of £2.8m over the next two years.

Truckman’s export drive is supported by its increased manufacturing and storage capacity at its factory in Dudley. Its recently-expanded 120,000sq ft. premises, which includes its new headquarters, new development facility and a much-needed additional warehouse space to enable Truckman to meet increased demand from UK and international customers.  

The company will look to replicate its successful and long-standing relationships of the UK’s Original Equipment (OE) manufacturers, such as Isuzu, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Toyota and Volkswagen, with the ever growing international market.

As part of Truckman’s increased presence in Europe, the company is showcasing its renowned range of hardtops and pick-up accessories to the international market at one of the world’s premier industry exhibitions, Automechanika Frankfurt.

The event, which runs until 17 September, attracts more than 100,000 visitors and around 4,000 exhibitors from 74 countries.   Truckman’s stand, 3.1 G10, feature a selection of its commercial and luxury leisure hardtops highlighting its UK design and manufacturing excellence.
