Apprenticeship Provider Bringing Workplace Skills to Life

A Black Country apprenticeship provider is offering local businesses the chance to bring workplace skills to life, through the delivery of high impact training programmes.

Pilot, a workforce development and training provider with a national reach, has developed a proven track record of delivering apprenticeships that support employers in identifying new recruits and up-skilling their existing workforce.

“We build long lasting and meaningful business relationships through the provision of high impact training programmes, whether in the Logistics, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Engineering sectors or beyond,” said Pilot director, Andy Pettigrew.

“However our story is not just one of what we deliver, it is how we deliver it that sets us apart. We just don’t believe in “good enough”.

“Our teams works incredibly hard but we also employ people based on their personality, who know how to make the learning process fun and have a real ability to engage with learners and employers alike.”

Pilot works with those already in employment, by maximising their potential and career opportunities, whilst also facilitating the movement of unemployed people into sustainable work, through innovative pre-employment training as part of a wider academy programme approach.

One such academy with Screwfix has scooped a national “Employer of the Year” award, whilst accrediting body Ofsted has graded Pilot’s delivery as “good”.

Having successfully delivered over 10,000 sector-specific qualifications, the company believes that its holistic programmes can play its part in addressing concern around skills shortages.

Andy Pettigrew, added: “As a training provider that is committed to the growth and development of local business, being a member of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce has enabled us to form strong working relationships with employers across the region.

“We recognise that the current skills shortage is a cause for concern amongst businesses, and therefore we aim to work with our clients to develop training programmes that are tailored to their particular business and are conducive towards their overall growth, development and longevity.
