Winners Announced at the Black Country Chamber of Commerce Awards 2016

With a sell-out 450 people in attendance, the Black Country Chamber of Commerce Awards 2016 was bigger and better than ever. The Dinner, sponsored by voestalpine Metsec plc, which took place on 18th November at Wolverhampton Racecourse acknowledged and celebrated local business success.

Adrian Wright, President of Black Country Chamber of Commerce, said: “I would like to congratulate all our winners and thank the many more businesses who have taken part in the Awards this year. We have some fantastic businesses in the Black Country and we need to help to raise the profile of the great work they do. Celebrating local success stories at an evening like this highlights the strength of the region. I would also like to thank all of our sponsors for their continued support of the Chamber, including headline sponsor voestalpine Metsec plc.”

The Black Country Chamber of Commerce Award winners are as follows:

Best New Business sponsored by Ramada Park Hall Hotel & Spa

This Award category was open to companies that started trading on or after 1st January 2013. The judges were looking for a business that had exceeded their expectations at the start of the business life cycle.

Business Services Provider of the Year sponsored by NatWest

The judges were looking for a company that could demonstrate a positive impact they have had on the business of their clients.

This Award celebrates a company, charity, or social enterprise that is committed to corporate social responsibility and having a positive impact on the local area.

Companies that applied for this Award had to show how they exceed in customer service and consistently maintain great standards.

This Award was open to businesses that have been operating for 2 years or more and have between 1 to 25 employees.

Young Person or Apprentice of the Year sponsored by University of Wolverhampton 

This Award category was searching for an exceptional young employee (24 years or under). The judges were looking for a candidate that has perhaps overcome personal barriers or are already making a difference within the organisation.
