Break The Silence and Start the Talk Around Domestic Abuse!

Help The Haven Wolverhampton to Break the Silence around Domestic Abuse by organising a Coffee Morning between 22 – 29 May. By having those conversations that are often swept ‘under the rug’ in society and really breaking the silence that surrounds abuse, you will be helping The Haven to reach out to many women and children in potentially life threatening situations.

If you are a Mary Berry in the kitchen or feel you can make better brownies than Nigella please help The Haven to raise vital funds by simply gathering together colleagues, friends and family, make a donation to share a cup of tea and tuck into a delicious treat – there really couldn’t be an easier way to make a difference!

“Sadly domestic abuse and homelessness is happening all around us and often, it isn’t talked about or even acknowledged enough. As a society we can come together and make a difference to those who are really vulnerable. By hosting a coffee morning, supporters will be helping The Haven to raise vital funds to ensure we can continue to reach more women and children in our communities and also to let them know that what they are going through is not ok - they are not alone.” says Hanifa Blakemore-Razaq, Fundraising Officer at The Haven.

In the UK, 1 in 4 women and 1 in 8 men will experience Domestic Abuse during the course of their lifetime. 2 women a week are killed by their partner in the UK as a direct result of domestic abuse.
