The next event from FinditintheBlackCountry is taking place on Thursday 25th May, and is inviting local businesses to come and meet key buyers from local and regional housing companies to talk about the exciting opportunities and developments due to take shape across the Black Country.

Taking place at Molineux Stadium in Wolverhampton from 7.00am until 10.00am, ‘Meet the Buyer’ sessions are available to book on a one-to-one basis, providing local businesses with the opportunity to discuss forthcoming supply chain tenders with companies including Sanctuary Group, West Midlands Combined Authority, Galliford Try Partnerships, Walsall Housing Group , Oakleaf Commercial Services and West Midlands Academic Health Science Network.

In addition to this, Simon Wingate, Operations Director from Bouygues, will be providing an overview about its procurement process and the opportunities its latest project is set to generate, as it has recently been named as the chosen developer to build 150 high quality homes on three derelict sites in Wolverhampton.

A number of other speakers have also been confirmed, including Terraquest, Kier Living and the Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership (BCLEP) talking about current and future development opportunities throughout the region.

Paul Long, Director at FinditintheBlackCountry, comments: “With the Government unveiling new plans to tackle the UK’s widespread housing shortage over the coming weeks and months, which is sure to transform the housebuilding industry, we felt this was an important topic to cover.

“With so many opportunities and exciting developments taking shape across the region, times are changing, so now is the time to take advantage of local supply chain opportunities. By meeting these key buyers and developing long lasting relationships, it will ultimately help keep this valuable investment within the local economy which can only be a benefit to the Black Country as a whole.”
