Black Country Chamber Member of the Week, The Mount Hotel & Conference Centre, Awarded 4 Stars and Two AA Rosettes Following Refurbishment

The Mount Hotel Conference Centre in WolverhamptonBlack Country Chamber of Commerce are celebrating The Mount Hotel & Conference Centre as their Member of the Week after the newly refurbished Wolverhampton based hotel recently obtained a four-star rating and two AA Rosettes.

With a history dating back to the 19th Century, the Grade II listed Victorian manor has undergone a five-year refurbishment costing approximately £2.9m, helping to turn it into an ideal location for short breaks, weddings, conferences and other functions. Every part of the hotel has benefitted from the investment, including a full refurbishment of the 67 bedrooms to create stylish and elegant spaces, as well as The Drawing Room Bar and Grill, which is open to both guests and members of the public.

Furthermore, since being brought by Aspen Leisure in 2011, family and independent values have been instilled within the ethos of the team, which itself has also received investment with regards to training and personnel.

Scott Bernard, Director at The Mount Hotel & Conference Centre, commented: “It’s been an incredible project over the last five years and I would like to thanks the whole of the team at The Mount Hotel, and General Manager Neil Wyatt, for all their dedication and hard work. The investment and effort put in has really paid off, and nowhere is this more evident than in the new industry accreditations and wonderful customer feedback we’ve received.

“We were delighted to have been awarded our 4th Star by the AA and maintained our 2 Rosette dining offering. This means that we are the only independently assessed and verified 4-star hotel in Wolverhampton, priding ourselves on being independently owned, yet providing the highest levels of customer service possible.

“Moving forwards, whilst the five-year refurbishment project may have concluded, we’ve set our sights on going for our silver stars award next and are dedicated to making continuous improvements.”

“With regards to the Black Country Chamber, being a member has enabled us to raise our profile throughout the region and helped to increase our exposure to the local business community. Working closely with the team, we have been able to host a number of Chamber events over the years, which has enabled us to showcase the wonderful facilities that we have here at the hotel to local business professionals.”

As well as offering modern accommodation and dining experiences, The Mount Hotel & Conference Centre is able to host business conferences and meetings. Their purpose built business centre, offering high-speed Wi-Fi and state-of-the-art facilities, is able to cater for one-to-one meetings or conference style events of up to 200 delegates.
