iLockerz Recognised as One of the Most Innovative Businesses in the Midlands

iLockerz are celebrating the news that they have been recognised by Innovation 50 as one of the 50 most innovative businesses in the Midlands this year. Their RFiD-enabled storage areas provide safe storage and monitoring of equipment and are suitable for everything from weapons to power tools, to safety equipment, to drugs and surgical equipment. The storage units can be used in virtually any setting, including building sites, workshops, prisons, military bases, and hospitals.

In case the equipment that is stored in the locker needs charging, iLockerz have a solution; they incorporate electric points for convenient charging while the device or equipment is kept safe. This makes iLockerz equally suitable for businesses operating bring your own device (BYOD) policies whereby laptops and sensitive documentation need to be accessed and shared among colleagues.

Using Radio Frequency Identification (RFiD) and the most secure hardware available, iLockerz monitors and records who opens the locker and at what time, and what is removed. It even takes a HD photograph of the person using the locker for an added layer of security. Web-based management software stores all transaction information and details can be retrieved anytime remotely over Wi-Fi, through the internal LAN network, or via the touch screen control panel by an administrator. This will allow organisations to track and manage the use of shared portable equipment as it is borrowed by an authorised user and returned to the premises.

“No more sign-in or sign-out books!” said Kate Fletcher, Business Manager of iLockerz. “iLockerz will save time and effort that is wasted on keeping records, tracking devices, locating missing assets, and auditing equipment. The technology behind iLockerz and the RFiD tags on each piece of equipment will drastically reduce room for error and result in much improved security for businesses, whatever industry they operate in.”

iLockerz are operated by way of a touch-screen control panel, PIN code, swipe card, or fingerprint reader technology.
