Solicitor Rachel Bloxwich, who specialises in handling divorce, separation, and financial matters and arrangements for children, has joined FBC Manby Bowdler’s Wolverhampton office.

Rachel, a law graduate from the University of Warwick who completed her Legal Practice Court at the University of Law in Birmingham, has spent her career in the West Midlands and has a strong background in family matters.

She trained at Hadens Solicitors in Walsall (now part of HCB), qualifying into the family department. Rachel worked with Wright Solicitors in Dudley for seven and a half years undertaking family work and also established and developed a family team for a new firm in Worcestershire, prior to joining FBC Manby Bowdler.

The department has also welcomed its first apprentice Abigail Noakes. She has started her first training role as part of a six-year programme that will lead to an LLB (Hons) degree in Legal Practice and her qualification as a solicitor.

Rachel and Abigail join partners Elizabeth Cleverley, Philip Cowell, and Sara Morton; senior associates Harbinder Gosal and Sarah Millington; solicitors Emma Smith, Kate Rowley and Olivia Jones; paralegal Louise Bond and paralegal support Ellesse Wilson, who work across the firm’s offices in Wolverhampton, Shrewsbury and Telford.

Anne Thomson, Lead Partner for the Family Team, said: “Rachel brings a wealth of experience and local knowledge to the team and we are delighted she has joined our team.

“There is a sustained demand for our services and Rachel’s appointment will allow us to continue to offer our clients the responsive and first rate service with a personal touch that they are used to.”

The family team is nationally recognised as one of the leaders in its field. Chambers & Partners, which identifies and ranks the most outstanding law firms and lawyers annually, awarded the Family & Matrimonial the top possible status of Band 1 last year.

Anne and Elizabeth were both mentioned in the guide with Philip named as a ‘recognised practitioner’. The overall team also received a top tier ranking in the prestigious Legal 500 guide.
