Black Country Chamber Announce Successful Transition to New ISO 9001 Standard

The Black Country Chamber of Commerce are delighted to announce that they have successfully transitioned to the latest version of the ISO 9001 standard.

ISO 9001 is the most well-known and popular management system standard for any organisation of any size to demonstrate its commitment to providing quality in its products and services. The new version focusses on a greater understanding of the issues that influence the strategic direction of an organisation, the risks and opportunities that it faces and creates a format for addressing them.

Corin Crane, Chief Executive of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce, commented: “This a great achievement for the Chamber, the whole team has worked hard to make sure we have updated our processes and documentation during the transition. We also used the expertise of Chamber member John Somers, from Conspici Compliance Services, who supported us through the progression and we would like to thank John for his excellent work.”

John Somers, Compliance Advisor for Conspici Compliance Services, added: “Since the appointment of Corin Crane as the new Chief Executive of the Chamber, a new strategic direction has been determined, implemented and the process of improvement has begun on many fronts. These improvements are aimed at bettering the Chamber’s products and services whilst also providing greater quality for its offerings. I would like to congratulate Corin and the Chamber team for a job well done!”
