Top Networker Promoted at Thursfields

Thursfields Laura Williams colourThursfields has announced a senior promotion after a solicitor’s focused networking helped to raise the firm’s profile in the Midlands.

Laura Williams has been promoted to Associate in Thursfields’ Family Division, less than 18 months after joining the company’s Worcester office.

Laura, who graduated in Law from Staffordshire University, was admitted as a solicitor in 2010 and joined Thursfields in August 2016 after more than 13 years at the HallmarkHulme law firm.

She specialises in all aspects of relationship breakdown including divorce, cohabitation disputes, division of assets upon separation, and issues surrounding arrangements for children.

Shane Miller, director of Thursfields’ Family division, said: “Laura has contributed significantly to the firm’s success since joining us and her promotion is well-deserved.

“Not only has she proven herself commercially, she has also helped in organising and taking part in events promoting the firm, including the creation and development of Thursfield’s successful Ladies’ Golf events.

“Laura is a highly motivated and personable lawyer, and is always willing to go the extra mile, setting a fine example of what Thursfields is looking for in its lawyers.”

Laura’s recent hard work saw her recommended in the Legal 500 2017 Edition the “industry bible” in the law sector.

As well as golf networking, Laura has also taken part in three half marathons and the London to Brighton cycle ride for cancer, children and diabetic charities.

Laura, whose promotion took effect on 2 January 2018, said: “I’m thrilled with my expanding role at Thursfields and really enjoy helping the company to make a difference in the community we serve.”
