Thursfields’ Family Law Boss Shortlisted for Top Regional Award

Thursfields Shane Miller colourThe head of Thursfields Solicitors’ Family law department has been shortlisted for a top regional business award where the public helps to choose the winner.

Shane Miller, a director and shareholder of the leading Worcester-based law firm, has been nominated for the Wonderful Worcestershire Director of the Year Award.

Shane, who has lived in Worcestershire for seven years, joined Thursfields in 2012 and has built a family law department now recognised as one of the best in the area, with a significant increase in the number of fee earners.

Thursfields’ Family department was recently nominated at the National Family Law Awards, and Thursfields as a firm was a Winner of Excellence in Professional Services at the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber Awards 2017.

Nick O’Hara, managing director at Thursfields, said: “We’re thrilled at Shane’s well-deserved shortlisting for this prestigious award.

“Shane is extremely driven and excels at driving Thursfields forward, and she has played an integral role in the company being nominated and receiving recent awards.

“Shane would thoroughly deserve the personal recognition of Director of the Year in the Wonderful Worcestershire Awards.”

The 2018 Wonderful Worcestershire Awards were launched last week [17 January] and 73 nominations were announced for eight different categories.

Sarah Mayo-Evans, co-founder of the Wonderful Worcestershire Awards, said: “The calibre of the nominees this year is once again outstanding.”

Ms Mayo-Evans explained that the awards were aimed at recognising and rewarding individuals for their “contribution to the county by running successful businesses, working tirelessly for others or being an inspiration through significant personal or business achievement”.

A public vote is now open for all nominees until Friday 16 February. The top five in each category go through a final judging committee in March before the Main Awards event during a posh afternoon tea on Friday 27 April at Worcestershire County Cricket Ground.
