Rotary Club of Dudley Support Black Country Chamber Young Person or Apprentice Award

BCCCA17 006Black Country Chamber of Commerce are delighted to announce that the Rotary Club of Dudley are supporting their Young Person or Apprentice of the Year Award as part of their 2018 Annual Awards.

The Award itself recognises exceptional young employees (aged 24 years or under), who may have overcome personal barriers or are making a difference within their respective organisation. In addition, the Rotary Club will be donating a cash prize of £1,000 to the winner of the Award, to be used as a contribution towards their personal development during their apprenticeship.

Ken Powell, Vocational Service Representative at the Rotary Club of Dudley, commented: “Dudley Rotary Club has a long history of fostering youth endeavour through their Vocational and Youth Services activities. This focus has widened to include apprenticeships, which we believe have a huge role in the development of young people and can be highly important in the pursuit of a satisfying career.

“With this in mind, we are delighted to be supporting the Black Country Chamber’s Young Person or Apprentice of the Year Award, which recognises the hard work and talent of young people within businesses across the region.”

Corin Crane, Chief Executive of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce, further added: “Despite only having recently joined Chamber membership, we are pleased to announce that the Rotary Club of Dudley will be supporting us in promoting our Young Person or Apprentice of the Year Award for 2018.

“Furthermore, we are extremely pleased to receive the significant and generous cash prize donation from the Rotary Club, which will help to make our Young Person or Apprentice of the Year Award even more worthwhile.”
