About this event
** Prices shown are exclusive of VAT **Do you need to determine if a licence is required for your products ? Are your products classed as Dual Use ?
An export licence permits you to trade in strategically controlled goods that would otherwise be prohibited from export. Goods are controlled because of their nature and what they could be used for, or their destination market. If you are exporting goods out of the UK, it is your responsibility to make sure you comply with the UK government’s regulations.
You should be aware of any export controls which apply to your goods, and any export licences you may need.
This half day online workshop will help anyone that is involved with licencable products and Dual use items. You will be guided through the types of licence available and how to determine if your goods require a licence.
Specifically, we cover:
- Introduction to export controls
- Reasons for needing a licence
- UK Legislation
- UK Strategic Controls List - Military and Dual use lists
- Types of licence
- OGELs (Open General Export Licence)
- Adhering to T & C's
- Reading an OGEL
- Individual Licences
- SPIRE and the application process
- Compliance
