About this event

CBAM Compliance Workshop for UK Manufacturers.

The UK Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism is due to take effect on 1 January 2027, placing a carbon price on imports of aluminium, cement, fertilisers, hydrogen and iron and steel.
The EU CBAM has been in its definitive phase since 1 January 2026, with quarterly reporting and certificate purchases now in force.
The detail of the UK regime is still being finalised and further guidance is expected in the coming months, so this workshop will share the latest position at the time of delivery and indicate where points remain subject to change.

This workshop covers:
UK CBAM
                •             Goods and sectors expected to fall within scope
                •             The proposed scope threshold and how it is likely to operate
                •             Indicative timeline and key milestones running up to 1 January 2027
                •             Areas where guidance is still developing and what importers can usefully prepare now
EU CBAM
                •             Where the regime currently stands following the move to the definitive phase
                •             Authorised CBAM Declarant status and the application process
                •             Quarterly reporting obligations and certificate purchases
                •             Embedded emissions data, supplier engagement and record-keeping
                •             Practical lessons from the first year of definitive-phase reporting
Aimed at Importers, Finance, Procurement, Sustainability, Logistics and Supply Chain Managers/Directors in businesses bringing aluminium, cement, fertilisers, hydrogen or iron and steel goods into the UK or EU.
