Start-Up Legal Clinic with Higgs & Sons

Start-Up Business Club members are invited to meet the team of experts from our sponsor Higgs & Sons for a helpful legal clinic. 
The Higgs & Sons team will introduce themselves and share insights on their areas of expertise:

James Adams – Commercial Property Associate
James advises on a wide range of commercial property transactions, including disposals and acquisitions and landlord and tenant work.

Emma Williams – Employment Solicitor
A specialist in employment law and HR best practice, Emma is perfectly placed to draft and review contracts of employment and HR policies for new businesses.  Emma also advises on issues which may occur throughout the employment relationship such as disciplinaries, grievances and performance management.

Rachael Watkins – Business Services Solicitor
Rachael provides expert insight to owner-managed businesses in relation to their succession planning. This typically includes advice relating to shareholders’ agreements, articles of association, cross-option arrangements, partnerships and general corporate governance matters. Rachael assists clients with understanding their existing position and how they can achieve their future plans.

Adam Johnson – Dispute Resolution and Litigation Associate
With experience across all forms of commercial disputes and in a host of sectors, Adam has advised on a number of issues arising following the formation, acquisition or disposal of companies, including breach of warranty claims and completion accounts disputes.
