Finalists Announced as Region Reboots, Rebuilds and Rebounds
The Black Country Chamber of Commerce have today announced the finalists in their 2021 Business Awards.
Winners in ten categories will be announced on the 11th of November at Wolverhampton Racecourse, as this year’s finalists, both in person and online, gather to celebrate their achievements as this year’s special Awards Reception is broadcast live across the region.
Throughout the pandemic businesses across the Black Country have demonstrated resilience as they have attempted to reboot, rebuild, and rebound and following on from the day’s Black Country Economic Business Conference, those companies and individuals will be recognised for their ingenuity, determination, and successes as the celebrations kick off at 5.30pm.
Corin Crane, Black Country Chamber CEO said: “This year, we have been running our biggest and most ambitious campaign in the Chamber’s history. Black Country 2.0 was launched in February as a response to the economic challenges businesses are tackling because of Brexit, COVID-19 and a radically altered trading landscape.
“The business world has witnessed seismic shifts in how they operate over the last few years as a result of many challenges and are now emerging into a radically altered trading lands. The Chamber’s Awards Reception will follow the first ever Black Country 2.0 conference which sees the longest running business support organisation in the region examine the economic prospects for regional firms and celebrate the success of local companies and individuals as part of its campaign.
Mr Crane continued: “Our awards will celebrate innovation and enterprise across the Black Country region and are the perfect opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate the endeavours, resilience, adaptability and outstanding contribution of our business community and professionals – the people who have pivoted, the people who have fought and survived and those who have coped with unprecedented change and growth and survived the worst economic downturn on record.
“I want to thank the dozens of businesses who have applied this year and wish all our finalists the very best of luck.”
