A leading manufacturer of equipment for the metal forming and tubes industry has demonstrated its continued commitment to customer service following a successful audit of the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
Bilston based Bowers & Jones was recently re-accredited with the ISO 9001:2015 standard, which provides a framework for quality management.
Serving more than 300 customers across the UK, North America, Europe, and beyond, Bowers & Jones are world leaders in the design, manufacture and refurbishment of roll tooling and rolling mill products.
Originally established in 1955, Bowers & Jones was acquired by Jane Sommerville and Nicola Owen in 2020 and is growing on the back of four years of turnover growth, with significant growth set to continue with new contracts secured.
The company has invested in the latest cutting-edge technology and equipment to ensure quality, efficiency and precision with all their products. The company has recently invested £500,000 in a brand-new vertical turning centre from Korea. The machine will boost efficiency and support the growth of the company’s straightening ring sales in North America which currently represents 50% of their total sales.
With a strong focus on the customer and continual improvement, ISO 9001 is a globally recognised quality management system which helps organisations monitor performance, meet customer expectations and demonstrate their commitment to quality.
