At Get Smart Accountants, we’re proud to sponsor books for Codsall pupils. As a former teacher, I know the power of stories to calm nerves and inspire confidence. A small way to support children as they begin new school adventures.
The start of a new school year is always a mix of excitement and nerves. New teachers, new classmates, and new routines can feel overwhelming for many children. Whether they’re starting school for the very first time, moving into a new year group, or taking that big leap to secondary school, these transitions can bring a lot of anxiety.
That’s why we’re so proud to support a wonderful local initiative in Codsall. Local businesses were invited to sponsor bundles of books that aren’t just given to children; they’re hidden around the village for little readers to discover. Once a child has enjoyed a book, they’re encouraged to hide it again for someone else to find. It’s a simple idea that creates a ripple of excitement, joy, and shared community spirit.
From Reception right through to KS2 and beyond, the right book at the right time can make all the difference, building confidence, calming worries, and making new beginnings feel a little brighter.
Here at Get Smart Accountants, we were delighted to sponsor books for Codsall. For me, this is especially close to my heart. Before joining Paul in the business, I was a teacher, and I’ve seen firsthand the joy and reassurance that reading brings to children. A story can transport them, reassure them, and remind them they’re not alone in their feelings.
As business owners, we often talk about the importance of investing in the future. Supporting initiatives like this is exactly that, an investment in our children, our schools, and our community.
We’re proud to play a small part in making sure every child has the chance to start the new school year with a smile, a story, and maybe even the excitement of finding a hidden treasure.
