Wolverhampton-based removal company, Burke Bros Moving Group, one of Wolverhampton’s most trusted names in removals and storage, was proud to sponsor Wolverhampton City's Mayoral Inauguration, marking a new chapter in the city’s leadership and civic life.
As a long-standing local business and the only removals and storage company in Wolverhampton accredited by the British Association of Removers (BAR), they are deeply committed to the future of the city and its surrounding villages. Their sponsorship reflects ongoing dedication to supporting civic life, community growth and local tradition.
Councillor Craig Collingswood was officially appointed as Wolverhampton's 166th Mayor on Wednesday 14 May 2025. He took over the chains of office from outgoing Mayor Councillor Linda Leach at the inauguration, which took place during the Annual Council Meeting.

The Mayoral Inauguration celebration dinner, took place on Friday 16 May at the Molineux Stadium and bought together civic leaders, community members and local organisations in a celebration of service, leadership and unity. The event formally marked the election and inauguration of the new Mayor and Mayoress for the forthcoming civic year.
