Cusack’s continue to grow, but also recognise that reducing the company’s Carbon Footprint will be key to supporting responsible growth of the business, benefiting the local communities they serve, and providing a more sustainable future for future generations.

Founded in 1989, P F Cusack (Tool Supplies) Ltd is an independent, owner managed company and has established a reputation as a leading nationwide supplier of personal protective equipment (PPE), small hand tools, consumables, Hi-Vis clothing, First Aid and Road Traffic Management products to the Utility, Construction, Road and Rail industries and Local Authorities. Providing nationwide coverage there are depots in London, Wolverhampton, Highbridge, Glasgow and Bolton, all of which also offer a take back service for road furniture.

Cusack’s continue to grow, but also recognise that reducing the company’s Carbon Footprint will be key to supporting responsible growth of the business, benefiting the local communities they serve, and providing a more sustainable future for future generations.

Cusack’s have now partnered with Auditel, one of the UK’s leading providers of Carbon and Procurement services, to work with them to build their Carbon Management plan. As part of the team, Auditel will help Cusack’s to achieve their aim of ISO accreditation for their data verification and becoming carbon neutral.

Shaun Grundon, Health, Safety, Environmental and Compliance Manager, says, “The company aims to be a one stop shop for our clients. Working closely with our clients to achieve carbon neutrality aligns with the sustainability goals we have set ourselves going forward, so that we continually ask the question, “What can we do better and how?”

We have now moved away from the use of single use plastics in many of our products and also offer a take back scheme for the recycling of these products which can be recycled into further road furniture products at our new recycling centre. We have installed solar PV at our Enfield head office depot and main manufacturing facility in Bilston with further plans to add solar PV to our Highbridge and our other Bilston depots.”

The business is committed to operating in a responsible way and at the same time promoting their environmental commitments and reducing the effects of climate change in a mature and effective way through their carbon reduction projects and data collection processes.
