The Chamber are asking for support of business leaders to help to secure the extra funding for rail projects across the West Midlands.

The Black Country Chamber of Commerce are currently backing the Midlands Rail Hub - a scheme that will transform rail travel across the Midlands – and are asking for YOUR help to secure the extra funding for rail projects across the West Midlands.

What is the Midlands Rail Hub?

Midlands Rail Hub is a package of rail improvements that will increase connectivity across the East and West Midlands, also delivering on the Government’s promise to level up the Midland’s economy. A short summary document is included within this email that will give you more information on the scheme.

How will Midlands Rail Hub benefit my business?

Midlands Rail Hub will deliver a number of benefits:

Recruitment: Open your business up to a wider talent pool – meaning that you can hire the best people for the job.

Connect with other businesses: Open up new market opportunities as it becomes easier for organisations to do business with clients and collaborators in neighbouring regions.

Enhance productivity: Faster journeys and quicker connections will result in enhanced regional productivity.

Be part of a greener future: Reduce your employees’ reliance on private vehicles to travel between cities, especially between the East and West Midlands.

Great! How can I show my support?

You can demonstrate your support for the Midland Rail Hub by co-signing the attached letter, which urges the Government to confirm their funding for the first phase of this project. The more businesses that sign the letter, the bigger impact we can make as a Chamber.

If you want to get involved and lend your support, please email policy@blackcountrychamber.co.uk and we will be in touch very soon.
