While some knocks to the head may seem minor, others can lead to serious complications, including concussions or brain injuries.
Recognising the signs of a head injury and knowing how to respond can make a crucial difference in preventing long-term damage.
Recently my daughter had a head injury, while at first, I wasn't over-concerned, as time went on I got worried.
She started slurring her words and suffering a headache. She had a deep cut in her mouth also. We did take her to the hospital and got the ok. However, I still wasn't happy with her symptoms after 5 days after the incident and ended up taking her again. The hospital confirmed she has got concussion and can take up to 5 weeks for symptoms to be present.
