Across 2026, Black Country Living Museum will invite in over 44 Corporate Volunteers, offering teams from local companies the chance to fulfil their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals of supporting the environment, sustainability, and community wellbeing.
Our volunteers this year will be able to enjoy spending time outdoors while supporting the museum’s green spaces, by working with our Gardening Team across site and helping to plant seasonal beds and maintain the well-loved gardens. Other projects in the past have included packaging products for new buildings onsite, decorating our streets for the Christmas period, helping to refurbish our animal shelters, and giving some of our historic buildings a well needed lick of paint. We support our Corporate Volunteers whilst they are onsite by providing necessary tools and equipment, along with refreshments and lunch.
Corporate volunteering at the Museum isn’t just about the activity. It is about collaboration, staff wellbeing, and giving back to the community in a tangible way. It is a great way for colleagues to work together, learn new skills, and enjoy a refreshing change from the office.
2025 saw 37 Corporate Volunteers onsite, so we are pleased to be growing this number, year by year.
We are delighted to welcome new Corporate Volunteers where possible.
Should your company be interested in using one of their CSR days at the Museum, please get in touch by emailing development@bclm.com and we will be happy to add you to our list to receive future opportunities.
