Shardia O’Connor wins the 2025 CREA Global Award joining leaders like Jay Shetty and Richard Branson while launching Thawadar Boutique celebrating timeless tradition and empowered feminine leadership rooted in Birmingham’s lessons and the Black Country’s growth.
Shardia O’Connor, a cultural consultant, visionary entrepreneur, and Founder of Shades Of Reality, has been awarded the prestigious CREA Global Award by Brainz Magazine, joining an esteemed class of 2025 recipients including Jay Shetty, and following in the footsteps of past honourees like Sir Richard Branson. The CREA Global Awards recognise exceptional individuals making a lasting impact through creativity, mental health advocacy, business innovation, and sustainability. O’Connor’s bold leadership and purpose-led mission have positioned her as a global force, one who proudly places the Black Country on the international map, while honouring the lived experiences that shaped her in Birmingham.
“Birmingham raised me. It taught me resilience, boldness, and what I didn’t want from life. The hardship, the pressure, the fire it forged me. But it was the Black Country that gave me the space to breathe, to build, to bring my vision to life. So to now be recognised globally, after years of navigating both struggle and growth, is nothing short of monumental.”
This year, alongside her global award, Shardia officially launched Thawadar Boutique, a luxury fashion house grounded in timeless tradition and empowered feminine leadership. Thawadar is not just about what we wear, but how we lead, live, and show up in the world, unapologetically, intentionally, and with legacy in mind. It’s a bold expression of identity, excellence, and self-worth.
Together, these milestones reflect a defining moment in Shardia’s journey: proof that global excellence can emerge from local roots, lived wisdom, and unshakable vision. Her work gives voice to communities often overlooked, and brings global attention to the innovation rising from the Black Country. The CREA Global Awards, presented by Brainz Magazine, honour individuals across industries who demonstrate outstanding leadership, creative vision, and commitment to impactful change.
