
FORTRESS SAFETY WINS THE KING’S AWARD FOR ENTERPRISE

Fortress Safety has been honoured with the King’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade, recognising outstanding growth in overseas sales.
The company is among the 252 recipients of the King’s Award for Enterprise, one of the most prestigious awards for UK businesses. Announced on 6th May, the Award recognises Fortress Safety’s excellence in international trade.
Fortress Safety specialises in machinery safety and interlocking, saving lives by providing the best safety solutions around the world. Established in 1977, the company with headquarters in Wolverhampton employs 141 people in the UK and over 250 in total worldwide.
Pete Browitt, managing director at Fortress Safety, said: "We are thrilled to be the recipients of the prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise. The King’s Awards for Enterprise, previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, were renamed last year to reflect His Majesty The King’s desire to continue the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II’s by recognising outstanding UK businesses. The Award programme, now in its 58th year, is the most prestigious business award in the country, with successful businesses able to use the esteemed King’s Awards Emblem for the next five years.
