HMB Training Launches First Aid Courses for Children

HMB Training Services is now offering fun, age-appropriate first aid courses for children, helping them build confidence and vital lifesaving skills this summer.
HMB Training Services is thrilled to announce the launch of a brand-new initiative:
First Aid Courses for Children; designed to equip young people with the skills, confidence, and knowledge to respond in emergency situations.
At a time when awareness of health and safety has never been more important, HMB Training is proud to be giving children the opportunity to learn life-saving skills in a fun, age-appropriate, and engaging way. These courses are perfect for parents looking for an activity to do over the Summer.
Founder and Lead Trainer Heather Bird explains:
“We strongly believe that first aid is a vital life skill that should be accessible to everyone, no matter their age. By teaching children the basics early on, we’re not only giving them the tools to help others but also boosting their confidence and helping them feel capable in difficult situations. It’s about planting the seeds of responsibility, awareness, and care for others.”
What Do the Courses Cover?
The sessions are tailored to suit different age groups, from ages 6 to 16 years of age and include:
- How to call 999 and communicate clearly with emergency services.
- The recovery position and basic CPR.
- How to treat cuts, grazes, nosebleeds, and minor injuries.
- What to do if someone is choking.
- Understanding the importance of staying calm and getting help.
All training is delivered by fully qualified first aid instructors who make learning safe, interactive, and enjoyable. Children also receive a certificate at the end of the session to celebrate their achievement, something many are proud to show off to friends and family!
Why It Matters
Learning first aid not only saves lives, it builds confidence, responsibility, and resilience. With the government including basic first aid in the PSHE curriculum, HMB Training’s courses are an excellent way to support and extend what children are already beginning to learn in school.
These courses are already proving popular, with schools and parents praising the hands-on approach, clear communication, and confidence it gives their children.

HMB Training is running First Aid Courses specifically for children over the Summer Holidays. There are four courses available over July and August.
