A hospital courtyard has been transformed for patients to enjoy this summer thanks to kind donations.
Staff from Santander donated their time and £250 to help refurbish the courtyard at the Deanesly Centre at New Cross Hospital.
The work was coordinated by Heather Guttridge, senior sister/ ward manager at Deanesly Ward.
She said: "The courtyard was not maintained and had grown tired.
"Our patients and families like to sit in the court yard and have "five minutes" of normality during their treatments.
"It is well documented that having an enhanced therapeutic space for patients helps with their wellbeing. Therefore the idea of making the space into a more enjoyable space was a priority.
"We are very grateful for all the brilliant donations.
"Wyevale Garden Centre in Albrighton donated £100 of plants. We also received donations from KD Horticultural Services and Peony faux flowers.
"Previous patients, families and staff were very generous with providing plants etc for the courtyard.
"Everyone is so pleased with the finished result it looks great.
"The space is now going to be maintained by our wonderful volunteers on Deanesly Ward."
Leanne Bood, fundraising coordinator for The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust Charity, said: "We are very grateful for all the support and donations for the courtyard.
"Santander employees have been brilliant in supporting the Deansley Centre. Last year colleagues helped to refurbish the therapeutic garden area of the Deanesly Ward and have done a brilliant job this year transforming the Deanesly Centre courtyard area."
