Leading Training Provider In-Comm Training Strengthens Strategy for 2026

We spoke to Gareth Jones, Managing Director of In-Comm Training reflecting on the year ahead.
In-Comm Training is the West Midlands’ leading employer-led training provider, combining more than four decades of skills experience with £multi-million investment in our technical academies to deliver the best access to engineering apprenticeships, upskilling courses, consultancy and business services.
What have been your company’s key achievements in 2025?
In 2025, In-Comm celebrated a landmark year marked by significant growth, innovation, and industry recognition. The business successfully launched the pilot of its In-Talent Recruitment service, designed to enhance talent attraction and retention through targeted headhunting and trade testing. In-Comm also achieved England’s best-in-class apprenticeship completion rate of around 82% in Engineering and Manufacturing, alongside a remarkable 500% revenue increase since 2015. The organisation was awarded a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating with elements of ‘Outstanding’ and engaged more than 4,000 individuals through its STEM Engagement Fund delivering activities such as teacher training, apprenticeship taster days, and open-house events.
How will you be looking to grow in 2026?
Looking ahead to 2026, In-Comm is focused on delivering the next phase of its business strategy, targeting operational excellence and driving forward its digitisation journey through the rollout of a new Digital Learner Environment. The company is also restructuring to support future growth, with plans to recruit an additional 12 team members. With major changes expected across the skills sector including updates to apprenticeship standards, a reshaped government skills system, and an increasing emphasis on employer-led curriculum design In-Comm remains committed to leading from the front in shaping the future of technical education and workforce development.
