Paul Thompson, Director at Get Smart Accountants, is lacing up his hiking boots for an incredible cause this summer as he joins fellow fundraisers on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge in support of Compton Care and the Wolves Foundation.
Taking place on Saturday 14th June, the 24-mile trek will see Paul climb Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough—three of the highest peaks in Yorkshire—all in under 12 hours.
Led by the experienced Sky Blue Adventures team, the challenge starts bright and early at 7am and is expected to wrap up around 7pm, with a well-earned return to Horton-in-Ribblesdale.
Funds raised will be split equally between Compton Care and Wolves Foundation, helping both charities continue their vital work across Wolverhampton and the Black Country.
Compton Care provides expert palliative and end-of-life care for individuals and their families, while Wolves Foundation uses the power of sport to create positive change in local communities.
Paul is no stranger to a challenge, but this one pushes both physical and mental boundaries. “I’ve supported Compton Care for a number of years and seen first-hand the difference they make. Pairing that with the fantastic outreach work of Wolves Foundation made this a no-brainer. It’s going to be tough, but knowing the funds are going to such important causes will keep me climbing.”
Get Smart Accountants are long-standing supporters of local causes and are encouraging their clients, colleagues, and the wider community to get behind Paul’s fundraising efforts.
