Love Your Job Fair: A Heartening Success with 2 Job Offers on the day at West Bromwich Restart Scheme Office

Serco Restart Scheme's 'Love Your Job Fair' in West Bromwich connected participants with employers, sparking new career opportunities and celebrating Valentine's Day with a career-focused twist.
In keeping with the spirit of Valentine's Day, the ‘Love Your Job Fair’ was held at the West Bromwich Restart Scheme office on Thursday, 13th February. The event successfully connected Restart Scheme participants with potential employers, igniting new relationships and job opportunities.
The West Bromwich fair attracted 170 participants, with a broad spectrum of employers and training providers present. These included SIPS Education, Cleantec, Argonaut Enterprises, TCMS Cleaning, NHS, Your Care, Coffee #1, AM2PM, Smart Solutions, and several training providers such as Refugee and Migrant Centre, Forward Step Training, EBCF, RMF Training, GTG, Smart Works, Embark/Fairway Homecare, and Blackrook Academy. These employers presented a wide range of job opportunities in sectors including hospitality, care and education.
The event was a success with 3 job offers and 1 participant starting work straight after the fair!
The fair provided a unique platform for direct engagement between job seekers and companies, allowing participants to learn more about different organisations, the specific roles on offer, and the skills required for these positions.
Overall, the ‘Love Your Job Fair’ not only significantly benefited all attendees but also positively impacted the local employment landscape. Its success has established an optimistic foundation for future job fairs and related initiatives under the Serco Restart Scheme.
