M6 Junction 10 between Wolverhampton and Walsall will be closed from 8pm on Saturday 9 October until 6am on Monday 11 October.

Highways England have now successfully lifted ten 44-metre-long beams, each weighing 130 tonnes, into place on both the north bridge, completed in August and the south bridge completed in September at M6 Junction 10.

As part of continuing work to improve the junction, on 29 September the installation of the bridge deck on the new southern bridge began.

To maintain a safe environment for workers and motorists, Highways England will continue to use a mixture of overnight and daytime closures to complete the work.

They plan to close a section of the motorway, between the entry and exit slip roads from 8pm on Saturday 9 October until 6am on Monday 11 October.

This road closure will allow them over half of the bridge deck panels to be lifted into place over the beams.

The ‘up and over’ diversion will be in place for all upcoming road closures.

If your company or organisation operates near the road closure there will be an impact on travel times for your deliveries, collections, employees & customers.
