Taking the Leap of Faith and holding on to my vision

The attached documents offer an insightful look into the journey of the Wolverhampton Wellbeing Hub CIC and its founder’s commitment to supporting local wellbeing in Bilston and the wider Wolverhampton community.

Through a series of interviews and features, they showcase how personal vision and community drive have come together to create an inclusive space for mental health, social connection, and holistic support. Key topics included are:

The initial challenges of founding and funding the centre, alongside practical resources developed for setting up similar social enterprises. The evolving work of the Hub, from assembling a diverse team of volunteers and building community partnerships to expanding services for vulnerable groups—such as older adults, people with disabilities, and those living with dementia.

Heartfelt stories highlight the impact of the centre’s work, including support groups for men, young people, and those navigating mental health difficulties, as well as the growing community navigator service.

A wider regional update illustrates collaborative efforts across Black Country services, with a focus on employment support, local health co-ordination, and innovative approaches designed to meet the distinct needs of each area.

Together, these attachments emphasise the importance of bold leadership, social care consultancy, and nurturing environments—demonstrating how perseverance and vision can transform local wellbeing services and deliver lasting change for individuals and communities.
