A health and wellbeing organisation will be focusing on teacher wellbeing at an upcoming conference.

Members of the Paycare team will be attending the Inspiring Leadership Education Conference at the ICC in Birmingham later this month (June) to share ideas with attendees about how they can support staff health and happiness.

The not-for-profit organisation specialises in Health Cash Plans, which help promote better physical, mental, emotional and financial health among individuals and employees.

And they’re seeing an increase in schools approaching them to enquire about supporting teachers - seeking solutions such as virtual GP appointments which fit more readily into their busy schedules.

Stephen Burton-Pye, himself a former teacher and now a corporate account manager at Paycare, said: “We all know that being a teacher is extremely rewarding, but can also be incredibly stressful – so we want to ensure schools are aware of how they can support their staff.

“There are so many low-cost solutions out there that can provide a real boost to wellbeing, as well as being beneficial to the school themselves - as it helps them attract and retain the very best teachers and support staff.

“We’re really looking forward to attending the conference, as it promises to be a fantastic two days with a great line-up of speakers and plenty of fantastic organisations exhibiting alongside us. It’s a real opportunity for us to engage with lots of school leaders; many of whom we know recognise the importance of staff wellbeing, but may need a little expert help to guide them through implementing or developing effective policies and practices.”

Paycare will be on Stand 46 at the event, which takes place on Tuesday 28th and Wednesday 29th June.

The conference organisers promise a diverse range of leadership speakers, chosen not only for their credentials but also their ability to engage and inspire audiences to think about what they do and why.

Now in its eighth year, the event is attended by headteachers and CEOs from primary and secondary schools, academies and early years settings.
