Take part in National Sunglasses Day on Friday, 27 June, to help raise awareness about the importance of eye protection.

National Sunglasses Day takes place on 27 June, and it’s the perfect opportunity to encourage businesses to protect their employees' and their families' eye health in a fun way.

Our Chamber Charity of the Year, Beacon Centre for the Blind are inviting you to take part in National Sunglasses Day on Friday, 27 June, to help raise awareness about the importance of eye protection.

How your team can take part:

  • Encourage staff to wear their sunglasses to work
  • Snap a selfie and post it on social media using #SunglassesDay and #ShowUsYourShades
  • Tag the Black Country Chamber of Commerce and Beacon so we can help share your post
  • Share tips on UV protection and the importance of choosing sunglasses with the CE mark and UV400 lenses

This is a simple, fun way to promote workplace wellbeing and start conversations about lifelong eye health.
