Peter Simner retirement

A popular Kidderminster Solicitor has retired after successfully advising thousands of clients on property sales and purchases over a four-decade career.

Residential property and conveyancing expert Peter Simner, a partner at Birmingham Road law firm mfg Solicitors, has retired from the profession, with the firm immediately looking to the next generation.

Mr Simner joined mfg Solicitors at the end of 1983 as an Assistant Solicitor, quickly rising through the ranks to become an Associate in 1986, and a Partner just two years later in 1988 – going on to lead on a variety of residential and new build sales locally and across the UK. A hugely respected and sought-after Solicitor, who has also held the positions of Divisional Head and Board Member. In May 2021, in view of his impending retirement he handed over Divisional Head responsibility to colleague and Associate Solicitor, Javed Ahmed – who will be supported by a team of 19 property experts.

Peter Simner said: “I consider myself to be very privileged to have worked with so many talented lawyers and experts all the way through my career. “I have also had the opportunity to help so many people and families who trusted me and the team with their property sales or purchases.

“I have reached 40 years in the legal profession and know it’s now the right time to step aside, enjoy all that life has to offer and importantly, pass on responsibility to the next generation.

“Jav is someone I have worked with for a number of years and he has grown into a respected property Solicitor. With Jav at the helm, and helped by the talented team working alongside him, I have no doubt whatsoever that our clients are in the best hands.

“I am looking forward to the next chapter of my life and want to thank the many people who have taken the time to wish me well.”
