Congratulations to Sandwell College staff and students who have been announced as finalists for this year’s Titan Awards!

Following successful nomination for showing exceptional leadership, and supporting students and staff to realise their potential, Associate Principal Nargis Bostan has been shortlisted for Leader of the Year, sponsored by Wesleyan.

Health and Social Care lecturer Amanda Black has also been shortlisted for Further Education / Higher Education / PTP Teacher of the Year, sponsored by Oxbridge, for making an outstanding contribution to the college and transforming the life chances of the young people she works with.

Business student Ethan Whitehouse and Childcare student Sangeya Bailey are both finalists in the Further Education / Higher Education / PTP Student of the Year category, sponsored by Aston University. This award is for FE and HE students who show exceptional achievement, overcome adversity or make an outstanding contribution to their college. More than 200 leaders, senior leaders, teachers, support staff and key stakeholders from across the education sector in Birmingham will be invited to attend the Titan Awards and Charity Dinner on July 13.

This event presents an opportunity to celebrate and recognise the amazing work of staff and students across the Titan network.

Titan Partnership is a Birmingham-based charity that works directly with education establishments across the city, with a focus on making a difference to the lives of young people in some of Birmingham’s most deprived areas, creating opportunities to ensure they realise their potential.
