The Black Country Chamber of Commerce have today announced their first sponsor in this year’s annual Chamber business awards.

The University of Wolverhampton Business School, a centre of education for business professionals, leaders and entrepreneurs, are to sponsor this year’s Black Country Business Person of the Year Award at the glittering awards ceremony held in the autumn.

Sarah Williams, Interim Director of the Business School said, “The Business School is delighted to be sponsoring an award at this year’s prestigious Chamber Business Awards.

“The Awards celebrate business excellence in the Black Country, and we are thrilled to be able to champion local businesses in this way.”

Now in their 21st year, the awards will once again reflect the challenges and opportunities of Covid-19, with a host of new categories reflecting the changing economic climate and a programme that has rapidly been established as a mark of quality for the region’s businesses.

The awards will also shine a spotlight on individual businesses and people working in vital parts of the region’s economy whilst championing innovation, collaboration, and outstanding practices, which puts the Black Country on the map.

The Black Country Chamber Business Awards, delivered by the region’s longest established business support organisation will be supported by a judging panel of industry representatives along with a distinguished list of business sponsors.

The Awards will culminate in a spectacular live evening event of celebration at Wolverhampton Racecourse on 16th September heralding a full fanfare return for the prestigious event following its virtual and hybrid delivery over the last two years.
