Students studying for science qualifications at City of Wolverhampton College will be donning surgical scrubs and getting hands-on with all things anatomical in a live dissection workshop on Wednesday, 27 November.

A group of 50 students who are studying for science A Levels or BTEC diplomas in applied science will be taking part in the immersive surgical session in a simulated operating theatre at the Paget Road campus.

The interactive event, run by Operating Theatre Live, will cover patient care and infection and the anatomy of the head, neck, thorax and abdomen, with students getting the chance to dissect a brain and spinal cord, trachea, heart and lungs, as well as observe a real sample of the digestive system.
